Arun Bhandari is the CTO of Zite. Arun is a Geomatics Engineer by education and a tech entrepreneur based in Nepal. With more than 7 years leading a tech startup in Kathmandu, Arun has a diverse set of experiences working in the development of technical systems. He started NAXA, a geo-ICT company in 2014 and has since been been heavily engaged in designing technology products for a wide range of organizations inlcuding corporations, national and international NGOs and the Government of Nepal. He is a digital mapping expert and a lot of his work in the past involves collection, management and analysis of geo-data using digital tools.

While designing and overseeing the development of digital systems, Arun developed the technical management skills to build successful teams to develop products that can scale nationally as well as internationally. His technical leadership overseeing the development of FieldSight, a remote supervision and quality assurance tool for UNOPS, was crucial to taking the system global.

Designing simple digital solutions for contexts ranging from DRR and infrastructure development to data collection and visualization, and then scaling them up to solve problems at scale drives Arun to keep working on new things — he loves to work in the intersection of society and technology. Besides work, he spends a lot of his time reading and playing soccer.
